White Coat Waste Project came forward with serious allegations against Dr. Anthony Fauci and the National Institute of Health involving the mistreatment of beagles in Tunisia, North Africa. Speaking to Changing America, WCWP said “Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sandflies so that the insects could eat them alive.”
This is reprehensible. There are laws on the books on animal testing, and this goes completely against them. Testing unnecessarily on animals is forbidden, and most if not all major manufacturers support no animal testing proudly. As a matter of fact, the FDA doesn’t require testing on dogs, so there is a huge question as to the need for this test, and how it was conducted in the first place is also under fire.
These 44 beagles were subjected to incredibly cruel treatment. To stop the incessant barking some had their vocal cords clipped to keep them silent. With the sandflies taking over their faces as their faces were locked in mesh covers, these dogs were not free to move. They had no joy in their life. No freedom, and no safety.
We know why Fauci was testing this in North Africa, a blind eye and hopefulness that the American people would never find out. We have a hard enough time finding out about the abuse of humans and the violations of their rights within our own shores, so how would we find out about dogs in North Africa?
Thankfully the WCWP is looking out for these dogs, and other animals by ensuring any necessary testing is being conducted in the safest and most ethical manners. The days of spraying rabbits in the eyes with oven cleaner to see how they react are long gone. No more dousing a cat in the eyes with perfume to figure out how much is toxic. These companies have adapted and found safer methods for testing their products, now the NIH needs to follow suit.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is at the front of this bipartisan pact looking for answers. Joined by Reps. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), Ted Lieu (D-CA), Brian Mast (R-FL), and Terri Sewell (D-AL) among others, her crusade for the truth is attracting attention from both sides of the aisle. This is how you know you messed up Dr. Fauci. While Americans are largely divided now, we come together when needed. Things like natural disasters, unconstitutional persecution, or the mistreatment of animals will bring together people from all walks of life.
As a nation, we can hope for transparency from Dr. Fauci and the NIH, but I won’t expect it. It stands to reason that they will claim national security or something else, despite the test being just for anti-parasites. Given the WCWP’s statement that “They also locked beagles alone in cages in the desert overnight for nine consecutive nights to use them as bait to attract infectious sand flies.” This is pretty damning evidence.
WCWP was the organization that unearthed the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s receipt of taxpayer funding on Fauci’s dime. Now with these allegations and photographic evidence, they are going after Fauci on full blast; and rightfully so. The NIH and especially Anthony Fauci need to answer questions about these procedures. If they don’t the problems will only continue to grow larger and more serious with each passing day. Giving Wuhan money was already very damning, and this could prove to be the final nail in the coffin on Fauci’s career in American medicine.
