Ron DeSantis has become the media’s worst enemy. For three long months, the mass media has been looking for someone to take Donald Trump’s place as the focus of their hatred. They have identified him as the biggest threat to the mission of the Democratic Party. His leadership contradicts and disproves what the liberals are telling people to do with their lives.
The media propagated the idea that somehow DeSantis allowed the grocery chain Publix the desired contract of handing out the vaccine because of the $100,000 campaign contribution that they gave to his campaign. They focus on this one falsely planned story to divert attention away from the fact that Gavin Newsom is guilty of this action.
But the media does not want people focusing on that fact. They want people looking at a made-up story about DeSantis because he is a danger to them.
When the fake story first came out, Jared Moskowitz, who is the Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, debunked the accusation. He stated that “This idea why Publix was picked has been utter nonsense. We reached out to all pharmacies and they were the only ones who at the time could execute the mission. The federal government delayed the federal pharmacy program and we yet again stepped up first to serve more seniors.”
Publix is the largest grocery chain in Florida, and they alone have the resources and locations to pull off a full state vaccination attempt. The store chain is so far ahead of Biden’s plan that it just again makes DeSantis look like a hero. Even the media’s attempt to discredit the man makes him look good.
The media parasites could not accept Moskowitz’s explanation, so they went to DeSantis to explain the reason. And he told them precisely what Moskowitz said. But that was not good enough for them, so they continued to perpetuate the lie. And they even twisted the interview to make it sound like a response that they were looking for.
To add to the media’s fake story, their reporters were sent out to find areas where the vaccine distribution was stalling. Sharyl Alfonsi came out and stated that those waiting for the vaccine have been spotty at best. She noted that “old-monied millionaires but also some of the poorest day laborers and farm workers in America,” and “deteriorate[d] into a virtual free for all…as some wealthy and well-connected residents cut the line, leaving other Floridians without a fair shot.”
Alfonsi made her own accusations based on ignorance. She maintains that the public health agency could have done better, except there are not enough locations for them to go to. Publix is statewide and has dozens of locations in towns and cities all around the state. They have the most locations, which gave them the ability to do what needed to be done.
Alfonsi sides with Andrew Cuomo that believes seniors do not deserve to live. So she would say those essential workers should be shot up long before the elderly. But the vast population in Florida are seniors. And they are valued just as much as the next person because all life matters in Florida.
DeSantis took Alfonsi to the cleaners as he debunked her story. He told her that “First of all, the first pharmacies that had [the vaccine] were CVS and Walgreens and they had a long-term care mission, so they were going to the long-term care facilities. They got the vaccine in the middle of December, they started going to the long-term care facilities the third week in December to do LTCs. So that was their mission, that was very important and we trusted them to do that. As we got into January, we wanted to expand the distribution points.”
DeSantis worked to continue to increase distribution sites. But Alfonsi did not want to face the truth because she had a picture of what she wanted to see. And if that narrative were not going to materialize, she would be willing to make up her own. She is the perfect example of how the media makes up their own stories if they do not hear what they want to hear.
