Sources in the White House say that many of their colleagues are panicking as they discover that the job market is much tighter than Joe Biden has been claiming.

One White House official told Politico that staffers are depressed and filling out their resumes. Another says they’re all willing to take demotions and pay cuts because there just aren’t enough pointless, six-figure paper-pushing jobs to go around.

Higher-up officials in the Biden White House are all taking lucrative jobs with defense contractors and Goldman Sachs. The lower-level staffers, however, are discovering that no one wants their particular skills in this job market. They’re despondent at the prospect of having to take “unglamorous” jobs.
