Brett Favre Slams Left for Attacks on Elon Musk

NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre isn’t mincing words when it comes to Elon Musk—or the left’s coordinated assault on him.

In a fiery appearance on OutKick’s “Ricky Cobb Show,” the former Green Bay Packers quarterback unleashed a passionate defense of Musk, calling him a patriot who deserves “all the accolades,” while accusing the radical left of engaging in “very evil” behavior for their increasingly violent targeting of Musk and Tesla.

“Elon Musk, several years ago, was a Democrat,” Favre pointed out. “They loved him. He was the most brilliant inventor, smartest guy ever, richest man in the world. He was on the pedestal.”

But once Musk teamed up with Donald Trump and began tackling waste and corruption through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the left turned on him like a pack of wolves. That’s when the smears began—and the violence followed.

“Now he’s working for free and trying to make this country better,” Favre continued. “Does he need it? If you want to fly off into the sunset, buy several islands and never be heard from again, he can do that. And the same can be said for Trump.”

Favre praised Musk’s choice to stay and fight, arguing that both he and Trump could have walked away, but chose instead to stand up for America. And that, Favre said, is exactly why the left is going after them both.

“This guy’s doing it because he loves this country, and people are hating him for that. I hate it for Elon but I know he’s going to be OK. He’s a lot smarter than all of us, and he’s pretty resilient.”

Over the past few weeks, left-wing extremists have ramped up their war on Musk, targeting Tesla dealerships with Molotov cocktails, vandalism, and arson—acts that Attorney General Pam Bondi has rightfully labeled “domestic terrorism.” Tesla drivers have also been harassed and attacked in cities like Austin, Chicago, and Portland.

Favre, like millions of Americans, has had enough.

“I just think that the left, in this case and in a lot of cases, is very evil,” he said bluntly. “To even remotely attack this guy the way they have is absolutely crazy.”

The former quarterback’s comments echo growing frustrations among conservatives who’ve watched the media enable or ignore attacks on Musk—simply because he switched political teams. As Favre noted, the same people who once hailed Musk as a visionary now paint him as a villain because he’s cleaning up their mess.

The smear campaign against Musk has included absurd accusations that he’s trying to “steal money” from the government through DOGE. In reality, Musk has taken no salary and has exposed billions in fraud, waste, and abuse since taking over the department.

Despite facing nonstop threats and financial loss, Musk continues to work for free—and for the country. As Favre put it, that’s exactly why he should be honored, not vilified.

“Anyone who is willing to do what he is doing for this country deserves all the accolades that you can give him, not the negative backlash.”

In today’s upside-down world, the left attacks patriots and props up criminals. But Americans still recognize courage, and voices like Brett Favre’s remind us that not everyone in the public eye is afraid to speak the truth.

And the truth is this: Elon Musk is making America stronger—and the radical left can’t stand it.
