China Prepares for War—And Biden Helped Them Get There

While the Biden administration spent years coddling the Chinese Communist Party with weak policy and soft rhetoric, the U.S. intelligence community has finally stated the obvious: China is the greatest military and cyber threat facing the United States today. In a blunt new report, U.S. intelligence officials confirmed what every clear-eyed American already knew—Beijing isn’t just a competitor. It’s the enemy, and it’s preparing for war.

The 2025 Annual Threat Assessment didn’t mince words. It declared, “China presents the most comprehensive and robust military threat to U.S. national security.” This isn’t some dry bureaucratic memo. It’s a flashing red siren that says China is gearing up to challenge the U.S. militarily, cybernetically, and economically—all while making “steady” progress toward the capability to invade Taiwan. In other words, the CCP is on the move, and the clock is ticking.

Let’s be clear: this is not just about Taiwan. The report warns that China is developing the ability to strike American assets—on land, in space, and across our infrastructure—with both conventional and cyber weapons. We’re talking about targeting U.S. satellites, crippling our power grid, jamming communications, and hitting the homeland with cyberattacks that could paralyze the economy. And they’re not planning it for decades down the road—they’re laying the groundwork right now.

“Coercive pressure” on Taiwan and “wide-ranging cyber operations against U.S. targets” are already underway, the report notes. And it gets worse. The CCP’s goal isn’t just to knock the U.S. down a peg—it’s to replace us. The Chinese regime is accelerating efforts to surpass the U.S. as the world’s top power in artificial intelligence by 2030. That’s not just tech competition—it’s the backbone of future warfare.

According to the report, Beijing is “expanding its coercive and subversive malign influence activities” to weaken America both at home and abroad. Translation: China is flooding the U.S. with propaganda, buying off academics, infiltrating institutions, and meddling in everything from elections to media to corporate policy—all while pretending to be a responsible global partner.

And how did we get here? Years of naive engagement, economic dependence, and blind globalism. Joe Biden and his party of appeasement handed Beijing the keys to the global economy and acted surprised when the CCP slammed the door on us. The result? A stronger, more aggressive China that’s now positioning itself to challenge U.S. dominance from every angle.

And let’s not forget the backdrop: Biden’s own family has faced serious allegations about business entanglements with Chinese firms. Think the CCP doesn’t remember that? You can’t take a hard stance against a regime you’re entangled with, and that’s part of the reason we’re now playing catch-up.

Meanwhile, President Trump has been issuing a different message: there will be consequences. Unlike his predecessor, Trump hasn’t hesitated to call out China for what it is—a totalitarian adversary bent on global control. Whether it’s economic decoupling, tariffs, or military deterrence, Trump’s been sounding the alarm from day one.

The report also highlighted the broader anti-American alliance forming between China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea—all working to undermine the U.S. and its allies. It notes that Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine has offered a “wealth of lessons” on fighting Western intelligence and weaponry in a large-scale conflict. So while Biden mumbles through briefings, our enemies are learning, strategizing, and coordinating.

This is not the future—it’s the present. America is being challenged on every front. From hypersonic weapons to cyber warfare, from global influence campaigns to economic sabotage, the CCP is already in battle mode. And if our leadership doesn’t treat it that way, we’ll be caught flat-footed.

Thankfully, there’s a new sheriff back in town. President Trump understands the stakes and is ready to meet them with strength—not weakness, and certainly not more “climate summits” and TikTok dances from State Department interns.

This report is a wake-up call. And Trump is the only one in Washington with a spine strong enough to answer it.
