The European Union (EU) is collapsing in real time as the people of formerly independent countries continue voting for populist candidates who want to preserve their individual cultures and autonomy. The EU requires member nations to keep their borders open to every illegal alien who shows up on their doorstep. Millions of third-world “refugees” have been showing up for the past decade. Multiple countries are now saying they’ve had enough. The Netherlands is the latest to announce that it will impose border checks to stop the flood of illegal immigration.

The Netherlands has been completely transformed by illegal immigration from Islamic countries. The Dutch people finally elected populist Geert Wilders’ political party back in February, over the Party of Freedom’s (PVV) promises to stop the influx of illegals. The nation’s new Asylum and Migration Minister Marjolein Faber proposed a resolution to shut the borders down for six months. The measure was passed by the Council of Ministers.

“For four months, I have been hearing around me: ‘Not allowed, not possible, not going to do it.’ But I will not be discouraged. I am the minister who is taking concrete measures to really get a grip on migration. We must do whatever it takes,” said Faber in an address to Parliament last week. The measure to reinstate border controls goes into effect on December 6.

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee—the Netherlands’ version of our Border Patrol—will prioritize internal immigration checks to avoid disrupting shipping and commuter traffic. The main emphasis will be on stopping potential illegals at airports. Under EU rules, foreigners can just fly into the Netherlands these days and stay permanently.

The Netherlands now joins Germany, France, Austria, and Denmark in saying there’s too much illegal immigration and imposing new border controls. In Denmark, the government specifically says it’s doing border checks and turning people away because of threats of terrorism. (All of this sounds vaguely familiar when compared to recent history in America, doesn’t it?)

It’s nice to see so many countries catching on to the scam. The EU was sold to the individual nations as a “trade zone” to compete with the US, China, and other major economies. It was really a dictatorship all along. What Hitler and Napoleon tried to accomplish through warfare was achieved by the EU without firing a shot. Individual governments discovered after they had signed onto the agreement that they were no longer in control of what happens in their countries.

Open borders was one of the first policies implemented in the EU. It was continent-wide. When the third world learned of this, the illegal aliens started coming in droves. The nations of Europe used to be boring, beautiful, and peaceful. It was a tourist destination.

Today, all the major cities have “no-go zones” where the police fear to enter because they are under Islamic control. Sweden has been one of the most boring and peaceful countries to visit in Europe for decades. It now has a first-of-its-kind-in-the-world rape clinic for men and boys. Crime is through the roof. There’s trash everywhere. You might as well save your money on the plane tickets and visit San Francisco instead if you want to see a dump like Stockholm. If you do visit Stockholm, be sure to stay indoors at night to avoid the grenade attacks that rival gangs from Africa launch at each other.

The EU has failed in its central promise of a neo-liberal, global order. The individual nations are rising up against globalism everywhere that it has reared its ugly head. The Netherlands is the latest country to reinstate its borders, but it won’t be the last.
