Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and one of President Trump’s staunchest allies, was seriously injured in a violent car accident this weekend. Giuliani’s vehicle was rear-ended at high speed while traveling on a New Hampshire highway, leaving him with multiple injuries.

Michael Ragusa, head of Giuliani’s security, explained in a statement that the accident occurred shortly after Giuliani stopped to help a woman who was the victim of domestic violence. According to Ragusa, Giuliani rendered assistance, contacted 911, and stayed with the woman until officers arrived to ensure her safety.

“Giuliani was involved in a motor vehicle accident,” Ragusa said. “Prior to the incident, he was flagged down by a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident. Mayor Giuliani immediately rendered assistance and contacted 911. He remained on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety.”

After departing the scene, Giuliani’s car was struck from behind at high speed. The impact left him with a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, and additional injuries to his left arm and lower leg. He was quickly transported to a nearby trauma center for treatment.

“Following this, while traveling on the highway, Mayor Giuliani’s vehicle was struck from behind at high speed,” Ragusa’s statement continued. “He was transported to a nearby trauma center, where he was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg.”

Ragusa added that Giuliani’s business partner and medical provider arrived promptly at the hospital to oversee his care. Despite the severity of the crash, Giuliani was described as being in “good spirits and recovering tremendously.”

The news prompted an outpouring of support from Republicans and conservatives across the country. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton posted, “Praying for Mayor @RudyGiuliani,” while Michigan State Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt added, “Praying for a quick recovery for America’s Mayor.”

Giuliani has long been admired on the right for his leadership during one of America’s darkest days—the September 11th terrorist attacks. His quick action, steady hand, and ability to unite New Yorkers earned him the enduring title of “America’s Mayor.” Even in recent years, as he has faced relentless political and legal attacks for standing alongside Trump, Giuliani has remained a symbol of resilience.

This latest ordeal adds another chapter to Giuliani’s storied career of service. He once again demonstrated his instinct to protect others by stopping to aid a woman in distress before tragedy struck him. That decision, showing courage and compassion, reflects the very qualities that made him a national hero decades ago.

Though badly hurt, Giuliani is already demonstrating the toughness that defined his leadership. Supporters see his recovery as yet another testament to his unshakable resolve. For conservatives, his accident is not just a moment of concern but a rallying point to honor a man who has never stopped fighting for his country.

America’s Mayor is down, but he is not out. With prayers, strength, and determination, Rudy Giuliani is once again proving that no matter the challenge, he will rise.
