Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) expressed concerns about the U.S. being on the verge of disaster due to the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of national security. On Fox News, Graham said the U.S. is “living on borrowed time” and could face another 9/11-style attack soon.

Graham was quick to criticize the administration’s foreign policy, saying that Biden and Harris have made the world more dangerous since Trump left office. The administration’s decisions have “emboldened our enemies, giving them more confidence than ever before.” Graham added that Biden and Harris’ handling of critical issues, such as Russia’s increasing aggression, has been poorly managed. As a result, adversaries feel less restrained and more empowered to act against U.S. interests. By failing to address these concerns effectively, the administration has allowed threats to grow unchecked, leaving the nation in a more vulnerable position on the global stage.

One major focus of Graham’s criticism is Biden’s approach to Iran. “We had Iran in a box,” he said, accusing Biden of undoing the progress made under Trump by allowing Iran to resume its oil business. He noted that under Trump, Iran was producing 300,000 barrels of oil a day, but now it’s up to 1.3 million barrels. Graham said that this extra money has been used to support terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah while Iran inches closer to developing nuclear weapons.

Graham is particularly worried about the growing terrorist threat. He said things are worse now than ever before, citing concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the crisis at the southern border. “We have a broken border,” he said, warning that more terrorists are in the U.S. now than he can remember.

He also pointed to the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan as a turning point, saying it has strengthened jihadist groups. “The withdrawal from Afghanistan put every jihadist on steroids,” Graham said, indicating that it revitalized the global terrorist network.

Graham believes it’s only a matter of time before America experiences another major attack. He also warned that Israel might have to take military action to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons.

He didn’t stop at Biden and blamed Vice President Harris for the administration’s mistakes, particularly in the Afghanistan withdrawal. He argued that Harris was directly involved in the decision-making and played a significant role in what he considers a string of foreign policy failures.

Graham’s comments follow reports that Iran has restarted its nuclear weapons program, reinforcing his belief that the U.S. is headed down a dangerous path unless it changes course. “If we do not change course, Iran is going to have a nuclear weapon,” he said, putting the blame squarely on Biden and Harris.

Graham also criticized the administration for being weak on Russia. He warned that if the U.S. doesn’t act, “Putin is going to keep marching to Europe,” suggesting that Biden has failed to contain Russia’s ambitions, just like he has with other foreign policy challenges.

As political tensions rise in the U.S., Graham’s warnings come at a critical time, with Republicans preparing to focus on national security issues as the 2024 election approaches. His comments highlight the deep divisions in the country over foreign policy, national security, and the effectiveness of the Biden administration.

Whether or not Graham’s warnings prove prophetic, one thing is clear: he’s not mincing words about the state of the world under Biden and Harris. America’s next catastrophe could be just around the corner. As the 2024 election looms, expect more Republicans to amplify Graham’s grim rhetoric, using every opportunity to paint the current administration as an existential threat to U.S. security.
